okay, so I am 15 and I want to get a bunch of products tommorow. I mean things like shampoo, conditioner, things for youor hair, facial wipes, nail clippers..... anything. I have always been a tomboy but I am going to a new school and I want to be clean, nice skin, white teeth, nice nails, pretty hair etc... please help. even include things on consealer etc because I need some but don't know much about buying it etc. flossing..........mouthwash.....soap....... etc...

I just want to know because I want to just play around with some of the things out there untill I find what's right for me.

What sorts of products do teen girls use regulary... everything.. whats in your hygne bag/basket etc?

cool okay, I'm 15 as well...

brb let me check everything I've got..lol

...

okay this is all the stuff I..for just me use...so don't like buy everything exactly...because you might not like all of it...here

goes..

-dove moisturizing shampoo %26amp; conditioner

- Simply Ivory body soap.

-(i use a puff thingy for soap)

-after shower...(p.s. don't wash your hair everyday...it washes out the natural oils...wash hair every other day) i put lotion all over...Vaseline Extra Strength

..when i shave...

-Venus Breeze shaver...(if im in a hurry)

-otherwise i use Veet Rasera w/ bladless shaver...this lasts longer than shaving..but it can be at times messy.

...

okay for hair stuff...you need to figure out what products will be best for your hair. Do you want curly hair? straight hair?

there are different products to make hair more curly..or more straight.

but one thing that is important is hair serum...it smooths all the frizz .

-Hair styles are also important..maybe get a hair cut AT LEAST a week before school starts... when you go to the salon maybe take a look through their hair magazines and pick a style you like, OR if your really daring, tell the stylist to cut you hair based on your face shape..and just let them do what they think will look best for you..only if your really daring..

-Actually DOING your hair in the morning takes time too.

Don't always put your hair in a ponytail..try two..or maybe a french braid..or a regular braid..or try head bands..ect.

...

face.

do you have dry skin? oily skin?

Your face wash will depend on that. Try out a few facial cleansers...umm a rly nice gentle one is Cetaphil.

You may want a zit zapping cream as well if an unsightly zit should come up.

...

i would like to say that a lot of stuff you will see at the store is really unnecessary. For some ppl it may work for them, but whatever it may be, make sure it works for you , or it will be a waste of $$.

...anyways...lol this is long..

makeup.

it can be such a hassle. I don't like wearing a lot of make up.

Question: Have you ever seen those girls who look like they're made of plastic? thats cuz they are! they wear sooo much make up that we don't even know what they actually look like! (That's called caking on makeup)... avoid this at all costs. Make up is ACTUALLY designed to enhance the beautiful facial features you already have...not to make any.

-you might want a light foundation...covergirl is nice...

Concealer is for when you want to cover something up..so have a look at those for your skin tone...

-Mascara- i use covergirl lash exact.

-eyeshadow-i hate it...because i have really big eyes already %26amp;%26amp; i rly don't want them any bigger,...

if you have small eyes..then go for it, but not too much, or it will look stupid. also if you have small eyes, do not line your entire eye w/ eyeliner. Doing that actually makes your eyes look smaller.

-blush-again depending on your skin tone...it makes you glow :)...again not too much...or you'll look stupid.

-Lipgloss..."cover girl wet slicks fruit spritzers" are really great! they smell great and they have a pinch of colour.

-But don't only buy lipgloss. Lip balm's like Chapstick are great for all the time..anytime your lips feel dry, put some on, it keeps your lips healthy and prevents them from cracking.

-putting lip balm under lipgloss is a good idea.

...

-deodorant is a must! Pick whichever one you like the best...take a sniff at a few..decide what your armpits want to smell like..lol

-Body spray is nice too... i use "secret body spray"...they come in different scents.

...

nails.

-clip you nail to desired length.

-Using a nail file, smooth out all the rough edges to make nails round or square..which ever you prefer..

-then, you might want to get some curticle cream that sofens your cuticles, and push them back.. with a cuticle pusher backer..(i really dont know what its called.)

(-Just follow directions on your cuticle cream)

-after..you may just want to go w/ some clear nail polish.

It still looks good..

teeth..? lol

(my advice on teeth in the morning is to brush AFTER you eat breakfast. )

okay well floss at least once a day between all your teeth...

then brush your teeth...the front the bottom and the back sides of all teeth.

Remember to brush your tongue aswell, lots and lots of bacteria that causes bad breath get left behind on your tongue.

"brushing" you tongue my seem painful..if you feel uncomfortable, you can actually get tongue scrapers..

-try scope whitening mouth wash. to kill bad breath and

whiten teeth. ..but Never replace brushing w/ mouth wash.

okay i hope all of this helps you.

You may want to check out a seventeen magazine for more tips... try seventeen.com

... i hope i don't seen like a girly girl..because i'm not...i am just VERY hygienically sound. If you saw me you probably would not say that i am a girly girl because of the way i dress (very comfortable..hoodies, jeans, t-shirts, but this is irrelevant to you).

but, i bet i smell good. lol

p.s don't feel that you have to change who you are...if your a tomboy, then play football or whatever you like to do...

be yourself...you can still be a tomboy ..who wears lipgloss.

Well. Deodorant is good :)

Haha.

Nah um i have impulse spray and stuff cos i cant afford to use the nice smelling perfumes. I dont use facewash because my skin is sensitive. I dont have concealer because I kind of dont need to use it but I have the Maybelline Pure foundation, which isnt that great but its all i could afford at the time, and I use Maybelline sky high curves mascara and I have a range of eyeliners and eye shadows.

You could maybe get clear nail polish for your nails?

I dunno lol sorry im not much help

What sorts of products do teen girls use regulary... everything.. whats in your hygne bag/basket etc?

*any shampoo and conditioner will do

*face mask

*get clear nail varnish anybrand

*mouthwash would be good

*MAKE-UP!!!

foundation

concealer

blush

eyeliner

mascara

lipgloss

but most of all be yourself, not someone your not!

What sorts of products do teen girls use regulary... everything.. whats in your hygne bag/basket etc?

ahaha. hi there

im about your age, and this is what i have in my toilet (i dont carry a makeup bag, unless travelling)

I would have these in my makeup bag if i were travelling,

-Shampoo%26amp; Conditioner

-A good facial wash

- toothpaste, mouthwash, floss..

-a few lip glosses (i use Dior's dior addict in A Blush Of Wine) and another clear gloss for everyday use, and a good lip balm if my lips get dry and cracked.

-a nude shade of nail polish, and a clear one.

- some sunblock, for hot days

- a pair of tweezers (u might not know what would happen)

-nail clippers

- hair mask/ cream (the type you put in your hair after every wash

-some good earplugs (again, you might not know what would happen!)

I dont use tones, cuz at my age, it dries out my skin, and i dont have much breakouts so i dont have a consealer, but you can but some zit cream for the occasional breakouts, i dont use mascara, or eyeshadow, or eyeliner, or blush (unless its a formal affair, or something important) and it makes me look older than my age.

but remember, no matter how cliche, beauty is from within. drink lots of water, sleep alot, laugh alot, and you glow naturally!

good luck in your grooming, and your new school!!!

Hair -

- shampoo and conditoner (i like garnier fructis or sunsilk, find one that sounds like it would suit your hair).

- some nice simple hair ties and bobby pins.

- hair gel/ hair serum for styling.

Skin -

- cleanser ( i like garnier pure which is also an exfoliater so you wont need one, any cleanser which also exfoliates is good).

- toner(i either use a toner or a face wipe, they remove any extra makeup and dirt/oil)

- moisturiser

- if you have acne or pimples, get an acne cream and use it at night, find one with benzoyl peroxide, or one for blemishes is ten-0-six acne blemish cream, i love it.

Body -

- soap(i like dove)

- body wash

- body butter

nails -

- nail polish (pick your fave colour)

- nail clippers

makeup -

- concealer (rimmel hide the blemish or avons are great, also maybelline pure it helps treat and hide pimples)

- foundation (oil free and matching your skin tone, i like covergirl trublend or maybelline dream matte mousse)

- eyeliner

- mascara

- lipgloss

make sure you take a list with you, and have a look there to see what brands are on special, or what has items that suit you more. alot of these are optional but the items i think you need are a cleanser, moisturiser, acne cream(if u have acne), nail clippers, shampoo and conditioner, a concealer, mascara and lipgloss, but if your not on a budget, get them all.

What sorts of products do teen girls use regulary... everything.. whats in your hygne bag/basket etc?

shampoo/conditioner (shampooing every other day is recommended and put conditioner mainly on your tips not your roots, as is can weigh your hair down)

bodywash/washcloths (bath sponges have been reported to harbor bacteria and fungi..i've never had a problem with them, but eh...I'm a germaphobe)

shavegel/razors (replace razor often...if you don't, it will cause ingrown hairs)

Qtips (great for cleaning ears after your shower AND correcting your eyeliner)

moisturizer (use suncreen everyday!!! clean and clear has a moisturizer with SPF 15 which is the minimum you want and it costs around $4)

body lotion (even baby lotion) and put on after every shower

feminine spray

baby powder (beauty trick: can help out oily hair when used sparingly)

styling gel/styling lotion/hairspray/texturizing paste/mousse

a widetooth comb (don't brush hair after showering, gently comb and use a detangler if your hair gets really knotty...but if you condition after shampooing, you should be fine)

body spray or perfume..you'll find your signature scent or scent(s)..they're addicting!

facial wash..wash off make up every night! Or worst case scenario, wipe off with a baby wipe if you just can't wash (get travel baby wipes or put some in a ziplock and carry with you...lifesaver!)

deodorant (tip...if you get stinky feet, buy a dollar store deodorant and wipe the underside of your foot...that combined with baby powder in your shoes should combat the odor!)

toothbrush/paste/floss/mouthwash/tongu... scraper (trust me...your tongue flim has much yucky stuff that causes bad breath..use this whenever you brush and definitely after anything dairy or coffee)

makeup: foundation, powder, concealer, eyeshadow quad, eyeliner, mascara, lipliner, lipstick, lipgloss, chapstick or blistex, tweezers (slant tip are best), eyelash curler, nail polish remover, eye lash separator/curler, nailpolish, nail cutter, nail file, top coat, nail polish

tampons/pads/liners

*get travel size stuff of things you can see yourself using on the go
