Okay, I am now in the real world out of college and i would like a decent hairstyle without using clippers. I would like some texture i guess, (sorry don't know much about hair) and some recommendations of products to use i.e. manipulator, pomade, or whatever. I want it relativly short but long enough to have bangs and be able to comb or style it. My hair is straight, very thick, and i got kind of a square to oval face, if that helps any. I would like to know of styles that are "in" right now but that would not take away from how a client looks at me, and will still be attractive to women. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Tell the stylist you want a Mohawk. He/she'll know what to do.

be realistic but take a magazine with a hair cut you like maybe from a catologue selling mens suits (not a pic of brad pitt) and pay for a great stylist just one tiime, once you have the cut down you can just go to super cuts and spend %26amp;12 every few weeks to keep it up... Good Luck, and welcome to the business world!

sit in front of a mirror and sort of push your hair in different directions so you have an idea of what you like, or talk to a stylist about what would be appropriate for a professional setting, but still look good

This might sound really corny, but look at James Bond hair styles. They do need to be trimmed regularly to maintain the look %26amp; they don't take a lot of products.
There's a reason why James always got the girl too! ;)

I would suggest investing in a blow dryer, straightener and curling iron if you don't already have them. You can create alot of great hairstyles with these tools. After awhile you will pick up some great looks from the female colleagues around you.
oops sorry I misread the question I thought you were female!!

When you go to get your hair cut explain to the person you want a professional look without it seeming old or boring. most guys on TV news have nice hair cuts. Think of that for a look. Get one like Brad pit in Oceans 11
