Carry-on regulations ?

Am I able to bring tweezers, nail clippers/file, make up, hair prodcuts, etc? Do these items have to be in travel size, 3 oz of less ? If so that will be a problem..It is hard to convert my certain cosemtics and lotions into smaller tubes.. ?? Can I put whatever I want into my purse? Including contact solution, make up, etc ?

Thanks !

Carry-on regulations ?

Last Summer the airport took all my expensive makeups. So if you cherish your mak-up and want to avoid making unnecessary trip to the local drugstore I suggest you place them in your check-in luggages. bring with only what is vital like lip balm, eye drop and wet naps that do not acceed 3oz.

I've just arrived in Europe five days ago. Its depends on the airline. Most airline have similar regulations. Clear makeup case is fine. No aerosol products, no nail clippers, nail file is fine as long as it is non-metal. No water bottle on the plane. No you may NOT put anything you want in your purse or carry-on luggage. Books, IPOD, cel phone and gameboy are allowed with your carry-on. You are entiled up to 40lbs with your carry-on, 50lbs for check-in per luggage, up to two suitcases per traveler. Rules change daily depending on the level of threaten we received. So best bet use your comment sense pack most of your belongings and toiletries in your big luggage and bring with only of what you absolutely need while on the airplane. The lesser you bring on board the faster you get through security check points. I travel on business weekly I know what its like. Believe me you don't want to be search every check point. Have a great trip.

You can never know for sure, and it is always good to have someone bring you to the airport just in case you're not supposed to have them so you can give the products to them instead of throwing them away. It is best to check with your airline website though!

Tweezers are fine, nail clippers are fine, files are fine. Blades are not. Make up is fine, as long as it isn't liquid makeup (such as lip gloss or mascare) unless the liquid make up is 3 oz. or less in container size. You're allowed to have 1 quart-size (not the gallone size, the quart size) bag per passenger. For hair products, those are the same rules... 3 oz. in container size or less. That means that you'll probably check your shampoo and shaving cream and stuff like that.

ANYTHING you bring through the security checkpoint is treated essentially as a carry-on, so unless you're checking your purse, putting the make-up and hair products in your purse won't do anything, it will just get your bag searched.

I would advise you to check as much of your liquid stuff as possible. The ban applies to ALL liquids, gels, creams, lotions, and aerosols. I've been through enough security checkpoints to understand this. Just carry on with you what you need on the flight itself. That won't include a 10 oz. bottle of hairspray (even if it's almost empty, it still won't be allowed beyond the security checkpoint).

Restrictions on liquids don't exist in your checked luggage, with the exception of hazardous/flammable liquids.

You can also visit TSA's website (tsa.gov) and/or call the airline and/or security checkpoint you'll be going through prior to flying to ease any confusion.

The rules are somewhat confusing unless you travel on a nearly weekly basis.
